Mirrors should be taken to the dumpster to be thrown out. Building materials should be placed beside the dumpster. All trash should be taken to the dumpster. Mop and/or sweep the floor or vacuum carpets, but do not sweep anything into hallways.Beds should be bunked, if possible, and be fully assembled. Empty and clean all closets and drawers.We are checking with College Products about lofts for students who are staying, and providing lofts for students who return for spring. DO NOT move your loft into the hallway or other public area. If you did not pay for disassembly, please take your loft apart.
College Products will pick up all lofts after students leave. If you have a rented loft, you may leave the loft in the room with your bed lofted. If you have bunk pins that are not being used, they can be dropped by the container located by your hall coordinator’s office. Beds should up with the bed frame and headboards in place. General Move-Out Information Furniture & FurnishingsĪll furniture, including beds, must be assembled and left in the original check-in condition at check-out. Please do not leave mirrors in the trash room take those to the dumpster instead. Trash in all cases should be taken to the trash room or if possible, the dumpster. Please dispose of any items left in the refrigerator/freezers that belong to you. In these, we know that doing all the checklist items will not be possible.
We know in some cases your roommate and suite mates may not be moving out at the same time or they may be staying, so focus on your parts of the room and suite. You can pick up any mail or packages during these times as well. Mark your name, hall, and room number on an envelope for your keys and place in the bin for your hall. Keys/fobs should be turned in at the Neighborhood Service Office for your hall. This will help make others move-out process easier. If you are parked on College Hill, please relocate to the C2 zones (near the stadium) - not the A2 zones - or the large B2 lot at the base of the hill. If you are parked near the Central/West End halls, please relocate to the Reade Circle/Street lots, but do not park in the A1 zones. If you are not moving out, please park away from the residence halls. We will not be enforcing parking passes, but cars blocking roads or parked in fire lanes may be ticketed or towed. While parking near the residence halls, please do not park in fire zones or block roads.
